Bulk applications

A registered body is an organisation which has registered with Disclosure Scotland and is able to apply for standard and enhanced disclosures for its employees.

A responsible body is one which is enrolled to apply for basic disclosures in bulk only.

Handling bulk applications

One of the benefits of enrollment is the ability to pay for disclosures on an account basis. This is particularly beneficial for organisations that take on a large number of new employees at certain times. Rather than pay for each disclosure individually, we send you a monthly invoice which you must clear by direct debit payment.

If your organisation wants to become a registered or responsible body, contact Disclosure Scotland. The charge for becoming a registered body is £150 plus £10 for each registered individual. There are no charges if you apply to become a responsible body for invoicing purposes.  For more details on how to become a Responsible Body, click here.
