Does Disclosure Scotland check "List 99" and the Department of Health Lists in England and Wales?
Yes, the Protection of Children (Scotland) Act 2003 enables Disclosure Scotland to access these lists insofar as childcare positions are concerned.
With regard to checkings lists of adults who may be disqualified from working with vulnerable adults/adults at risk/protected adults, we now have access to the list maintained in England and Wales under the terms of section 81 of the Care Standards Act 2000. Further information is available HERE.
